High School Cartography.

Postby jenksbyjenks » Fri Aug 26, 2011 3:36 pm

Hi everyone - Thanks for allowing me to post here! I'm a high school teacher at the NYC iSchool, a public high school in SoHo. I teach film, design, and other things - and this fall, I'm going to be teaching cartography. I love mapping, but have very little experience with geocaching and orienteering, and I want to be able to bring that into my class in some way. I'm wondering if any of you might be able to recommend resources (websites, books, humans, places, ... ) I can go to for an introduction to geocaching. I know there are many places to begin, but would love to hear ideas from you all about how I/we can get started in the city.

Many thanks,
