Re: 2010 Metro GC Award Nominees!

... Respite (because it's just the greatest spot bar none), Blue Trail #14 (because it was my first, and you should always remember your first), and while some might find it odd, Manhattan Rocks! (because it's in the most unlikely of spots, and magicsteve is a madman with all that geological info). ...

Re: The Other Game......

... write-up! I've researched Letterboxes around me but have yet to hunt one officially. I guess I did, having grabbed HD/AB's Central Park hybrid a while back, but I didn't fully grok the LB nature of it at the time. I have a clue for a puzzle cache that shares space with a LB. The other owner and ...

Re: The Other Game......

I did "Bear on the Loose" and my stats show I did a couple of other hybrids. I have found letterboxes accidentally while hunting down caches when by coincidence they are hidden in pretty much the same place.... Anyone else, like me, deliberately hunt them down the letterbox ...

Re: Cache archived due to bomb scare

Shame - this was a great location b/c of what was at GZ. Fortunately 1056 folks  got to log it while it lasted.

Re: The Other Game......

... My personal stamp was made by Holmes Stamp Co. from a jpeg I chose. On the more scenic trails here in CT, I often accidentally find letterboxes while I'm hunting a cache. If I'm not in a hurry, I'll sign the log. I try to find the letterbox info on line and let the owner know that the box is ...

Re: 2010 Metro GC Award Nominees!

Thank you for the nominations. I was impressed to be nominated with some well known cachers. Some of them I have only heard of by reputation while others I have been lucky enough to meet.

Re: Caches disappearing

Another interesting thing happened while Bob and I were in Georgia for the Masters Golf Tournament. While on our way home we stopped for a Cache Across America cache in South Carolina and after finding that one, ventured to another nearby ...

Re: Caches disappearing

A similar theme happened in Los Angeles a while back. Trackables went missing at a very high rate ... I noticed that many were last seen after a certain cacher with just a handful of finds logged his visit. And many of his logs were filled with ...

New Zealand Earthquake Relief

... particularly happy that we're the ones to post this Locationless Cache. We spent 2 days in Christchurch 5 years ago during a trip to South Island. While we were driving around the island, we did dozens of LCs, and Havelock, NZ gave us the idea for our World Capitals LC.

Re: Geocaching Attribute Symbols

Am I the only one who's wondered why someone hasn't made geocoins with these symbols on them? You're correct- but while there aren't geocoins, there are some trackables with similar symbols on them, availible on the Grounspeak Shop. buzzy- do you think that the parks and recreation ...

Re: Electricity and Caches

It's even scarier at night. I attempted it once while in the neighborhood, and when I realized my hand was touching wires in a working lamppost, at night, no gloves, no flashlight... I decided I'd come back during the day.
