Re: How to contact a reviewer?

... nearby admins (i.e. CTReviewer, OReviewer.....though Pofe (who used to be the admin for NJ and CT, now split between the first 2 I mention in these parenthesis) used to be kind of fickle too), so don't be surprised if no response yet or if he/she has issues with caches that many other admins ...

Re: How to contact a reviewer?

... challenge caches can't depend on specific caches to be completed ("Find a cache in each county" = okay for a challenge cache, "Find these four caches to pick up clues" = not okay for a challenge cache). But it doesn't really matter that it's not technically a challenge cache ...

Re: reverse cache

I own one of these!

I contacted Mikal over the summer and commissioned him to build me one (I used it to give my wife a surprise present a few weeks ago). Mikal was also in NY in September for the Maker Faire, which is geek heaven.

It is super cool. I'll have to let you play with it at some point.

A NEW NY ADMIN??

... NICE about the turn down and almost apologetic. So I of course, sent a rebuttal and asked for a clarification. I said that I have run a couple of these before (all approved) and I gave an example of another one http://coord.info/GC2DN5B being held about the same time (although it's not in NY) ...

Metro NY Calendar

... expenses (like when we bought the logo banner). When we sold geocoins, we did that very close to break-even, for a couple of reasons. But if we do these calendars I think pricing in an extra few dollars so that (say) John doesn't have to shell money out of pocket the next time he buys something ...

Re: Mammut caches in NYC

One thing that amazed me about these, well at least the only one I saw - near my 19 and High cache - was that it never got muggled AFAIK during the course of the competition, yet my silly little nano did. The Mammut was the size of a mug ...

... Jersey but put a bunch of hides in Pelham Bay Park while biking through it during a visit to the female team member's mom in City Island; most of these hides have been muggled and they've archived. Abelisle, you sound like just the person to "break the spell" and see if the cache is ...

... has taken up residence near the cache, so I'm not sure what the longevity of the cache will be moving forward... Once they discover what all of these interlopers to their space have been looking for, I am not sure I expect it to remain in place for long (nor would I have high hopes for any replacements). ...

Re: Prep Time

... think I'm a bit of an idiot. I have put myself in a few situations where I'm alone, caching in an unfamiliar neighborhood, and in retrospect these were mistakes (although nothing has ever happened). I often think back to this log, by a cacher who got mugged in Riverside Park in 2007, and ...
