Camping Equipment?

... trail. I am considering doing a portion of The Long Path. I've never done anything like this, no idea if I can do it, if I'll like it, if it is something that I'll ever do again... etc. So.... anyone willing to loan me some equipment? I have a lightweight sleeping bag. I'm interested in borrowing ...

Now Seattle and the Pacific Northwest in general obviously have a much broader tourism appeal, but I wonder if there ...

Washington APE Cache archived

... course there was Special Mission: PLANET OF THE APES Premiere! (GC1168) that was in Central Park! I can't imagine trying to get away with hiding something that big in Central Park. (And that sentiment proved more or less true, as it only got 4 finds before disappearing a couple of weeks later.) ...

Going Coastal's "Earthcache Trail" in Inwood Hill Park

newbie question on hiding a cache - semipublic

Hi All

I am considering hiding a cache at a site that has free admission from Oct-March 31, and free hours Wed 4-6 and Sun 4-6 from April - Oct. I am a complete newbie. Would something like this be allowed?

Many thanks

Re: WWFM VIII is back on June 4, 2011

... that often includes weekends, as I noted in another post, not a lot, but just enough and a variable enough schedule that it's hard to commit to something like this right now. I'm sorry about that and if someone else does a local WWFM and we're able to go to it, we will.

Using caches as forums

It seems as if most times, when Sakiman and I put out a new cache and a certain LI cacher doesn't care for it, or doesn't like something about it, he has to post his thoughts about it on the cache page. Rather than ignore it, he puts notes on the cache page that detract from the cache. ...

Re: mygeocachingprofile.com acquired by Groundspeak

Another result of Groundspeak's fear of Garmin's Opencaching.com. They should've done something like this years ago!

Creative Caches L&S post

http://blog.geocaching.com/2010/12/crea ... ound-video

Wow! Some of the caches in the video looked really fun and interesting. I think I'm going to try something similar.

Also, maybe we could add that as a category for our own awards, "Most Creative Cache"?
