Re: On Location NYC - A new geocache series in NYC

... dropped (as opposed to figuratively) when I realized that the hiding spot would not accommodate my cache. I'm going to have to regroup and figure something else out.

Re: July - GC 101 / 201

How did it go from $250 to $5500? What is it about what we need that jacks it up so much from the default day rate? I'm wondering if there is a misunderstanding on their part or something and they think we are planning something crazy.

Re: Here is why I love geocaching....

... like an amazing experience... My caching bug is schizophrenic, similar to Tatanka's. The first part of it is almost like being OCD! If I know that something nearby is hidden (especially if there is a puzzle involved), it just... bothers me that it's somewhere out there, and I don't know where it ...

Re: Geocache TV show

... rooms in the city a few months later, and the police, who already knew about them but were now having their noses rubbed in it publicly, had to do something. So they came in and shut down a couple of the rooms, but they weren't really all that happy about it. (It may not seem like it some times, ...

Re: Metro NY Icon

... and pasted the text you gave for the large icon and added the breaks like you said. Any ideas on what I did wrong? Hmm. Maybe the system chopped something off? Re: Custom NYC Attribute Icons?

... from doormen... I like the security camera icon as a stand-in for all that stuff in general. Groundspeak already has attributes for for whether something takes more or less than an hour, (which is why I focused in on the "quickie" cache.) Yeah I see what you mean. I like it. I have ...

Re: GSAK gpx file & colorado

I'm wondering if the coordinates are getting overwritten on the basis of the Waypoint Code... When you edit the waypoint in GSAK to include the final coordinates, can you also edit the Waypoint code? For example, if it's GC12345 can you change it to GC12345f or something along those lines?

I broke my poor 60CSx

So while in Texas I dropped my 60CSx as I was getting out of the car, and it fell two or three feet to the pavement. I've done something similar a bunch of times before, but this time my little unit wasn't able to shrug it off. It seems to have lost the ability to read the memory card, ...

Re: The War of Light is on!

... In this particular case I was close to zero percent to get any FTFs on the series regardless, because my days of rushing to get the car out for something "off the island" are pretty much behind me. If it had been me, I'd've published them a few days apart. Not out of "fairness", ...
