Re: Oldest active caches

... coords are about 1/4 mile away from the archived GC.com coords). I think the oldest active "real" (non-virtual) cache on Manhattan is another CN cache, 4quA5 GC12AF. Oldest in the Bronx is (again, I think, not 100% on these) Vanny Cache GC1382. I ripped my best jeans hunting that one ...

Re: mygeocachingprofile.com

... few days). Probably the best thing to do going forward is to include a FTF line item in your GC.com profile, so if anything you have it somewhere Another idea is to create a non-public bookmark list (so that it doesn't show up on the cache pages). When you you get an FTF, with two quick clicks ...

Re: FTF Etiquette

... of a muggle predating the publication by about three weeks! It was a good hide too. Apparently he was out mushroom hunting. I was beaten by another GC.com member and so considered it a STF at the time, but maybe I should mark it as a 3TF. I'll think about that. What do you mean by reused ...

Re: Whatever happened to....

... 7 years... We do not unarchive old caches to be restarted when they have been dead this long. Your reviewer was correct it can not be unarchived. Another reason that I've changed my mind on this policy (used to be ticked off about it, now I think it's fine) is that part of what makes the historical ...

Re: New York Yankees retired #s series

... there might literally be a muggle right on top of the cache for quite some time. At least once or twice I had to give up and go home and come back another day. I think if things go smoothly, a few hours is probably plenty enough time.

Re: hunter gtech - RETRACTED

... and "Handy Relief". Along with "hunter gtech" and the one Harry mentioned that was too close to the hidden final stage of another cache, those are the four that I was a spectator for. (I actually found and logged that last one - it shows up in my caching history, but I ...

Re: A nice 100th Cache

I'm certainly not going to argue with a plug for B&A (thanks CoA!)... Another option might be Sleepy Hollow (GCAE), which was the first cache ever placed in the Metro NY area, back in November 2000. It looks like it's only about 10 miles from the starting ...

Re: Have you been secretly observed by another cacher?

Ah. I thought that was called WhyBotherMarking? Walk out the door, and log every church in town. Why Bother? Fortunately, my WebCam Cache is going strong. And fortunately, It's only available half the year. So I only spend six months of the year arguing with people who say: "I was there and to...

Re: Summer on the Hudson

... of caches. Nary a signature. (Ultimus Prime?) Good memory. I had to search my inbox for it and found it under Oculus Prime. I think we have another, new entrant into the bogus log sweepstakes - "ich auch". The account was opened Thursday. Here is a sampling of the caches that were ...

Re: Original Colonists

We grabbed this one on a beautiful day today - terrific theme, daring placement ... and a very enjoyable tutorial on the early days of our hobby. Another positively brilliant and extremely hard to construct puzzle from Addisonbr. Very well done! Perhaps we should review these old logs to see if ...

Re: Not Signing the Logbook

It seems that some time ago another cacher couldn't find the real cache and left a replacement (seems he/she did not leave this information in their log) - the CO was investigating ...

Cache Placement Etiquette
