Re: Puzzles Anyone?

... that you designed an elegant puzzle with clever hints to the solution. Anyone can design an impossible puzzle - keep people busy for a few hours while delivering a satisfying solve, that's the mark of nice construction. I liked it anyway!

Re: Puzzles Anyone?

... decision to list it as a Puzzle cache or a Multi cache and ultimately (after conferring with a few cachers I respect in the area) concluded that while the cache has attributes of both, a Multi cache probably better advertises that earning a smiley requires visiting a number of different locations. ...

Re: August 23 - SilverMarc's Proto Picnic (GC1DFE7)

I think SilverMarc infected my computer with a virus that alerts him whenever I book a trip online, so that he can schedule his Picnics while I'm out of town!

I noticed the other day that I seem to be spending more time maintaining my hides than finding new caches - and I only have six active listings! ...

Re: Fear Archived

Re: Whatever happened to....

... of 4quA5's survival. And I think allowing (encouraging, even) new caches in the same spot is a great compromise that helps keep the history alive while getting people to think about and do their own thing. Plus I really like NYC Alpha Jr., so.

Re: FTF Etiquette

... off all lines of sight. I strongly resist the notion that I was doing anything that I shouldn't have been. I can appreciate NYA's concerns, while not always thinking that NYA gets it right - as I recall you once placed a virtual stage of a multi-cache on the Brooklyn Bridge and had a devil ...

Re: Cache Placement Etiquette

... the gray areas on any given day is just what's it's going to be. Re: 1 Million!

... ... but doesn't that number refer to active caches in the system now? So I think that the 1 millionth cache of all time was registered a while back. Or am I reading that wrong? In any event that is quite a stat! Thanks for bringing it to our attention. The last time I looked it was around ...

Re: The Other Game......

... write-up! I've researched Letterboxes around me but have yet to hunt one officially. I guess I did, having grabbed HD/AB's Central Park hybrid a while back, but I didn't fully grok the LB nature of it at the time. I have a clue for a puzzle cache that shares space with a LB. The other owner and ...

Parking for a weekend near the city?

Hey folks - a good friend is driving through the East Coast with his family and plans on spending a few days in New York. They won't need a car while they're here, so would like to find a place to park it for a few days (like Thursday through Saturday). They'll be coming from the direction of ...

Washington APE Cache archived

... people who have done all three, etc. It's a quirky piece of geocaching history.
