Re: Interested in finding an "unpublished" cache?

Actually I did look for it about 2 weeks ago and it was a DNF for me but I didn't post it in the log. I planned to go back and look again but my plans went awry. So I emailed the owner and asked her to check its status. I ...

Interested in finding an "unpublished" cache?

... pill canister. I realize you won't get official credit through Groundspeak, but I'm very curious to find out if what I think is a clever hide is actually quite mundane? The hint was: "How high is your reach?" It's a little wet around the GZ but the cache isn't in any water or submerged. ...

Where hath the coins gone?

I was reading a discover log on one of my Metro coins. For the first time in a while, I actually went and read the coin profile. Holy Moley--I was surprised at where my coin has been. It has over 13,600 miles on it. (TB2ZND3) I was wondering where the other coins that ...

Re: Prep Time

I actually think I'm a bit of an idiot. I have put myself in a few situations where I'm alone, caching in an unfamiliar neighborhood, and in retrospect these were mistakes (although nothing has ever happened). I often think ...

Re: The Necessity of Signing the Log

... wait until it is replaced. I hope so much that it is not archived, but the note will get the owner's attention. Little secret, the gc.com site actually lets you log an archived cache. If you wait and it does get archived, try it, you'll see it works.

Re: Metro GC Awards Categories

... because some great caches have popped up there. The hope is that this way people will have an easier way to recognize some of these gems. This is actually as good a time as any to invite folks to form a "Category Committee" for the upcoming 2010 nominations. If you are interested please ...

Re: The Necessity of Signing the Log

... living up to the rules by bleeding on my logbook. I do have a cache where there is some language about being required to sign the log, but it's actually intended to be a subtle hint to the hide rather than a strong-form declaration of the rules.

Re: A nice 100th Cache

A different thought Buzzy, for one of our milestones (#400), we actually chose attending an event (in this case the annual Central Park Proto Picnic coming up) as our find.
